I am licensed in Tennessee and can provide therapy to anyone who is physically located in Tennessee at the time of their session.
My practice is centered on LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals who are looking for a therapist who understands and affirms these identities.
I work with kids, preteens, teens, adults, and couples.

I provide online therapy to people located anywhere in Tennessee. So if you are in Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, Knoxville, or somewhere more rural, we can work together! I spent 10 years living in Middle TN, so I am pretty familiar with Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Clarksville, and other surrounding areas.

I do not accept insurance because I prioritize providing high quality mental health care, client privacy, and the flexibility to tailor treatment to each person's needs.
Insurance companies often place limitations on mental health treatment, including requiring a diagnosis, determining what types of therapy or services they will cover, and sometimes limiting the frequency or duration of sessions. They also require therapists to share personal health information as part of the billing process, which some clients prefer to avoid.
Choosing to remain out of network also allows me to spend more time focusing on my clients rather than navigating insurance requirements, delays, audits, and reimbursement issues. This helps me maintain a sustainable practice and provide the individualized, affirming care that my clients deserve.
I can provide a superbill if you have out of network insurance benefits you would like to use.

You can reach out to me through my website contact form, or by emailing or texting me. I will reach out to you to schedule a free consultation. If it feels like a good fit to both of us, then we can look at scheduling our first session.

During our consultation, I will ask you a few questions to better understand what you are looking for. Then I will share more about my therapeutic approach and give you a chance to ask me any questions. Then we will cover some logistical information at the end. We can then schedule an intake if it feels like a good fit, or you are welcome to think about it first. If you would like any referrals for other therapists, I am also happy to provide those.

Yes! Therapy is a great place to process and explore who you are and various aspects of your identities. You do not have to be LGBTQIA+ or Neurodivergent to see me for therapy; you can also be questioning or wondering if one of these identities fits for you too.
-
I think people’s identity is valid regardless of having a diagnosis or some other form of validation. You know yourself better than I do and I am not here to discount your experiences. I do not believe in gatekeeping labels or support.

No, I do not use AI at any point throughout the therapy process, and I will not use AI in the future while offering mental health care.
Some medical providers, including therapists, have recently started integrating AI into their services. This is most commonly done in the mental health field by having a HIPAA compliant AI product gather audio data from sessions (i.e. listen to the therapy session) and then generate documentation for the session. I do not use any service like this and will not use any service like this in the future. I also have opted out of any integration of AI into my electronic health record (EHR) system, and if the option to opt out is taken away, I will discontinue my use of that EHR. Protecting client data is important to me, and I will continue to be aware of any risks to client privacy and adjust the products I use and how I conduct therapy services to uphold strict standards for client privacy.
