Meet Your Neurodivergent Queer Therapist

You deserve to feel seen and understood — that’s why I created NeuroQueer Counseling. I’m Nat (they/them), an AuDHD nonbinary therapist. I believe we all have the innate capacity for healing and it’s also not something you need to do alone. I work with neurodivergent and queer people of all ages who are looking to better understand themselves, heal from trauma, and find new ways to manage difficult experiences.

No matter what led you here, you deserve a therapist who really gets it. Together, we'll create a space grounded in safety and trust where you can move towards your goals and a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

The NeuroQueer Approach

Not all therapy is the same. You deserve a therapist who understands how queerness and neurodivergence shape your experiences, relationships, and sense of self — so you can spend less time explaining who you are, and more time focusing on healing.

Neurodivergent & LGBTQ+ Affirming

I know what it’s like trying to find a therapist who you don’t have to explain your identity to. You deserve a therapist who is knowledgeable and competent in working with neurodivergence and queerness - not just an ally with good intentions. My therapeutic approach is informed by the lived experience of myself and that of others, meaning you get evidence based care through a lens that considers the unique needs, challenges, and strengths of the queer, trans, and neurodivergent experience.

Trauma Informed

I believe a trauma informed approach is essential to any therapeutic work, whether you are seeking out trauma therapy or not. I understand and recognize the nuanced ways in which trauma can manifest, while also having the training to address trauma symptoms (including PTSD or C-PTSD, BPD, and dissociation). Ongoing informed consent is important to the work I do, so we will go at your pace when working together. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to process difficult things, while simultaneously encouraging you to feel empowered towards growth and change.

Individualized & Collaborative

Every person is different - therapy at NeuroQueer counseling is a collaborative process where we explore what your needs and preferences are to find a integrative approach that will work for you. The foundation of my therapeutic work is rooted in a somatic, relational, attachment-based approach. From there, I can integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on what you’re looking for. This may include Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), or even IFS Informed EMDR. I also can incorporate skills based approaches like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Regardless of what is bringing you to therapy, we’ll work together to find a plan that you feel good about.

There’s magic in being seen by people who understand—it gives you permission to keep going.
